Dog Boarding FAQ

What vaccinations does my dog need to stay?

To keep our pet resort safe and healthy for our guests, we require proof of vaccination for rabies, distemper/parvo, and Bordetella. Puppies should have their first 2 rounds of puppy vaccinations and receive a health check by a vet before staying and playing with us. Additionally, we require our guests to be on a flea, tick, and lice preventative.

Do you require reservations for dog boarding?
We rely on having the right level of staff to keep our facility as safe as possible. For this reason, we do require reservations so we can plan our staffing around the expected number of dogs every day.
Can I take a tour of your pet resort?

Yes, we’d love to show you everything Bark City has to offer. Please give us a call to schedule your tour.

I have multiple dogs, can they stay together?
Absolutely, pet siblings are welcome to lodge together in our roomy accommodations. Please call us to get your fur family’s stay started.
Can you give my pet his/her medication?
Yes, we’re able to administer oral and topical medications for a small fee. Our TLC Package also includes unlimited administration of medication for your convenience.
Do you offer a trial stay?
We’d love for your pup to see what we’re all about, so we offer the first night on the house!
Can you accommodate special needs pets?
Bark City Pet Resort can accommodate pets with many kinds of special needs. Please call us to discuss how we can best accommodate your pet. We may consult with your veterinarian to determine if our pet resort is the best place for your furry loved one to stay.
Can I bring my pet’s toys?

You’re more than welcome to bring one or two personal items to remind your pet of home. Favorite toys, a blanket, or a tee shirt can bring extra comfort to your pup during their stay.

Should I bring my dog’s food?
We encourage pet parents to bring their dog’s normal food so they can stay on the diet they’re accustomed to while they’re here. However, we do have Honest Kitchen dry food available for a small fee, if needed.
Can I add bathing or grooming to my pet’s stay?
Of course! We’d love to send your pup home looking and smelling incredible. Our full-service grooming salon offers a range of services, just let us know when you call.

Dog Daycare FAQ

What are your vaccination requirements for dog daycare?

To keep our dog daycare guests safe and healthy, we require vaccinations for rabies, distemper/parvo, and Bordetella. Puppies should have their first 2 rounds of puppy shots and receive a health exam by a veterinarian before joining us. All pets should be on a flea, tick, and lice preventative as well.

Do you require reservations for dog daycare?
Safety is our top priority, and we’re able to provide such a safe environment by staffing the right number of people every day. Therefore, we do require reservations so we can plan appropriately.
My dog doesn’t like to play with other dogs, will he/she still enjoy daycare?
Absolutely. We’ve created our Custom Play program for dogs just like yours. This program includes one-on-one play with a specially trained caregiver doing whatever your dog wants! They’ll get as much exercise and stimulation as they need!
My dog isn't spayed/neutered, can they still come to Bark City?

Yes. Dogs over the age of 12 months who aren’t spayed or neutered are welcome to join us for individual playtime! However, older pups who aren’t spayed or neutered are not a good fit for group play.

But, for the safety of all our guests and staff, we’re not able to accept unspayed females who are in heat, approaching heat or have just come out of heat.

Can I tour the facility?
We’d love to show you our pet resort. Please call us to arrange your guided tour.
What will my dog be doing at daycare?
The short answer is—whatever makes them happiest! We provide a safe place, fun toys, playground equipment, splash pools, and more—and your dog gets to choose what they want to do. All playtime is fully supervised by our highly trained team.
Do you offer daycare packages?
Yes! We encourage our frequent visitors to take advantage of the savings in our daycare packages.
Can I add grooming or bathing to my dog’s daycare visit?
You sure can. Our skilled groomers and bathers would be happy to send your pup home looking and feeling incredible.

Pet Grooming & Spa FAQ

What vaccinations are required for grooming and bathing?

To keep our pet grooming salon safe and healthy, we require our canine guests be up to date on their vaccinations for rabies, distemper/parvo, and Bordetella. Cat guests should be vaccinated for rabies and feline distemper. We ask all guests be on a flea, tick, and lice preventative as well.

What are your grooming hours?

Our grooming salon is open on:

  • Monday through Friday: 7am to 7pm
  • Saturdays: 8am to 7pm
Can you groom my puppy?
We’d love to! Starting early with grooming visits familiarizes your puppy with the sights, sounds, and handling of the salon, setting them up for a lifetime of success at the groomer’s.
Can you give my pet a specific style or haircut?
Yes, we’re happy to work with you on your pet’s perfect style. We’re experienced in everything from the classics to special custom haircuts. Call us to discuss your vision for your pet’s haircut!
Are appointments required?
Yes, to keep wait times as short as possible, we do require appointments for grooming and bathing. Please call us to make your reservation!
What kinds of products do you use?
We use high quality shampoos and conditioners designed for pets. We offer a line of specialty formulas including deep conditioning, hypoallergenic, whitening, and many more.
How often does my dog need his/her nails trimmed?
Like human nails, dog nails grow constantly and need to be regularly trimmed for their comfort and health. Most pet parents will bring their pups for a nail trim every 2-3 weeks, but some as often as once weekly.
Do you have grooming packages?
Yes! Most of our grooming clients like to have their pets receive multiple treatments while they’re here. We’ve developed several convenient packages to cover the most important services. Our popular Premium Bath package includes a luxurious bath, brush out, and nail trim.
